Biography

Mr. James Harlee Harrell, age 89 died at the Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie on Monday, November 23, 2009. He was a native of Northampton County. Mr. Harrell was marred to Dorothy Conner in 1947. He worked for the Department of Transportation until retiring after thirty years of service. He was a member of the Rich Square Baptist Church in Rich Square.

Proceeding him in death are his mother and father, Mae Bryant Harrell and James Edgar Harrell, two sisters; Agnes H. Boyce and Wilma H. Evans.

Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Conner Harrell of Rich Square, one sister, Geraldine H. Tucker of Ahoskie and one brother, Milton Harrell of Rich Square. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
